Ten district level stadiums will be made ready for use this year. This was decided in a high-level meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the Secretariat here today.
Patnaik ordered concerned officials to complete the construction work of all the 27 district level stadiums as quick as possible. He gave instruction to promote different sports in areas were they are popular and provide coaching as well as equipment to upcoming sportspersons. Development Commissioner Dr Rabi Narayan Bohidar, Chief Minister`s Principal Secretary Bijay Kumar Patnaik, Principal Home Secretary Tarunkanti Mishra and Sports Secretary Suresh Chandra Patnaik attended the meeting.
